Elf on the Shelf

PACKAGE DESIGN
FALL 2018

Redesigning  Elf on the Shelf.

The original  product, Elf on the Shelf , is a box vthat includes a Christmas picture book and an elf doll. The story explains that Santa has the help of elves to know if children have been naughty or nice. The elves are responsible for visiting children’s homes betweenThanksgiving to Christmas Eve to watch the children’s behavior. At the end of the holiday season, they return to the North Pole until the next holiday season.

Advised by Aki Nurosi for RISD Package Graphics

I redesigned the packaging to look like a package from the North Pole. This special delivery engages with kids and starts the holiday spirit.

To be more sustainable, the box can also be reused by parents to store the elf and picture book when the holidays are over.

BELOW—A safe compartment for the elf doll and a letter from Santa
(Children can recieve new letters from Santa each year ☻)
