MAUM

Client: MAUM
Category: Brand Identity
Launched in 2022 by Korean Co-Founders Arnold Byun and Kioh Park, MAUM “마음” translates to “heart, mind” in Korean.

MAUM MARKET is the original Asian makers’ market. Currently available offline in Los Angeles, Orange County, and New York. The intention is to champion like minded Asian-owned small businesses by providing them with an in-person platform to either launch their new ideas or to connect their existing brands to an engaged audience.

Building blocks of MAUM

The letterforms are inspired from Korea’s alphabet, Hangul, which is made up of morpho-syllabic characters. The different combination of characters create different sounds and form words. Similarily, MAUM is a community made up of unique makers. MAUM makes an intentional effort to showcase a mindful curation of Asian-owned small businesses.

Reserved Color Palette

In order to celebrate thousands of makers, small businesses, and artists, MAUM wanted to be a blank canvas to highlight the community, rather than compete with it.
