Cereal KillerSPRING 2017
RISD Design Studio Project
Hijacking a cultural artifact's original meaning. Walking into the cereal aisle of a grocery store is always overwhelming. An endless amount of colorful boxes fill each shelf, luring kids (and adults) with their colorful characters and vibrant graphics. Kids cereal boxes were hijacted and a picture book was designed to reflect the unhealthy reality and dangers of this breakfast option. Photos of the original cereal with hazardous elements like sequins, masking tape, and kneaded eraser pieces were paired with the according slogan.
